Seraph keeps your prayer life on your device. We do not run accounts and we do not operate a database of users. Prayer data never leaves the device. On the web, paying for Seraph+ goes through Stripe Checkout via our billing API; Stripe holds the card and billing email.
Your name and intention from onboarding, your flame streak and prayer history, reading progress, bookmarks, and highlights are stored in your browser’s (or the app’s) local storage on your device. This prayer and reading data never leaves it. Clearing your browser data, deleting the app, or using the Reset control erases it permanently — we have no copy and cannot restore it.
A cached copy of your Seraph+ subscription status also lives on the device. On iPhone it is verified with RevenueCat under an anonymous ID. On the web, a Stripe customer id is stored after a paid checkout so this browser can notice if the subscription ends.
Your prayer life — streaks, sessions, reading progress, highlights — is never collected by us at all. The website sets no advertising cookies and does not track you across sites. We do use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless counter run by our host: it records aggregate page views (page, referrer, country, device type) with no cookies and no tie to any identity, and it never sees prayer content. Vercel also keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and requested URL) to serve and secure the site, as any web host does.
The iPhone app contacts RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider, only to activate, verify, and restore Seraph+ subscription status. It does so under an anonymous app-user ID generated on the device — never your name, email, or Apple ID — and no prayer, reading, or usage activity is sent with it.
If you email us, we will have your email address and whatever you wrote — used only to reply, and deleted on request.
Seraph+ subscriptions on iPhone are purchased through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see or store your card or payment details. RevenueCat records the resulting subscription status under the anonymous ID described above so the app can unlock what you paid for and restore it after a reinstall.
On the web, Seraph+ is purchased through Stripe Checkout. Stripe processes the payment and stores the billing email and card details needed to run the subscription. After a paid checkout, this browser stores a Stripe customer id to check whether the subscription is still active — not to open the billing portal. Restore on a new browser emails a short-lived link only after we confirm that address already has an active Seraph+ subscription; that email is delivered by Resend, our email provider, which processes the address only to send it. When a checkout begins from a marketing link, the campaign labels in that link’s address (and which screen started the checkout) travel with that single Stripe request as plain aggregate labels, so we can see which page leads to purchases — nothing about this is stored in your browser as a cookie or tied to your identity. Manage billing uses Stripe’s hosted login page; cancel anytime there.
Seraph is a general-audience app intended for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the only third-party processing of app data described above is the anonymous subscription-status check, which is linked to no one’s identity.
If our practices change — for example, if accounts launch or subscription processing changes — this page will be updated and the date above revised before the change takes effect.
