Seraph vs Echo Prayer
A prayer list you share with a group, and a quieter flame that never asks for an account. This page is written by the maker of Seraph — read it knowing that — and it will be generous to Echo, because Echo has earned it.

The main difference
Consider Echo if prayer for you is a list you keep, share, and return to. Their homepage is built for that: keep track of prayers, mark them answered, set push or email reminders, share with a person or a small group, follow a church’s Feed, and open “Pray Now” with an optional timer. The catch is the door: their terms say “In order to use the service, a user must sign up for an account, either through the App or on the Site.” Creating Groups and Feeds is Echo Plus+. Two first-party pages disagree on what that membership costs and how long the trial lasts — both are linked in the table, and we will not pick one silently.
Choose Seraph if you want something quieter: one flame kept daily, the whole King James Bible readable free, guided prayer paced by breath — and a hard privacy line: no account to create, no ads, and a public vow of no prayer analytics. Your prayer life stays on your device. There is no group, no Feed, no “I prayed for you.” Seraph+ is $6.99/mo or $59.99/yr on our US App Store listing and on our pricing page. The daily office is free. Sacred Seasons, including Advent, are not. There is no Seraph+ trial.

Echo’s own pages do not agree on the paid year or the trial. new.echoprayer.com/echo-plus prints $15/yr and a 7-day trial. The US listing prints a 14-day trial and an unlabeled IAP list that includes $14.99 and several other Echo Plus+ amounts. Check both, and the checkout in front of you, before you subscribe. No worldwide cheapest-price claim is made here.
What Echo does better
The list, and the people on it. If your small group already trades requests in a text thread, Echo is the tool that thread wants to become: tags, answered marks, reminders, Feeds for a ministry, and a button that tells someone you prayed. Their homepage says creating Feeds needs Echo Plus+ and following them does not. Their Plus FAQ says the same of Groups — one membership creates the room; everyone else joins without paying. We have no room like that. Seraph will not replace a prayer chain.
They also ship Android, and Plus adds a desktop app so you are not typing long prayers with your thumbs. They publish a trial of the paid tier; we do not. If the published $15/yr is the year you are offered, it is less than Seraph+. If you want shared lists, Groups, Feeds, Android, or a desktop prayer list, Echo is the honest recommendation, and we are not in that contest.
What Seraph does differently
Restraint as a feature, and a Bible you can finish. No account between you and prayer — Echo’s terms will not let you in without one. Prayer data never leaves the device; their privacy policy stores what you type so reminders can fire, and names analytics. Two prices, written in plain numbers: $59.99 a year or $6.99 a month, auto-renew, cancel anytime. The entire KJV free — not a day’s excerpt — bundled offline on iPhone, every chapter. A public web office you can open without signing up. A streak that forgives a missed day instead of shaming it. No ads on free or paid. Guided prayer paced by breath. Compare the plan and features that fit your use, rather than assuming one worldwide price difference.
Three disclosures that belong here. The web subscription and the iPhone subscription are separate purchases and do not unlock each other. The complete offline Bible is the iPhone app; on the web, chapters you have already opened stay readable. And restoring a web subscription in a new browser emails a magic link, so we will not claim “no email ever.” There is no Seraph+ trial: you never try a paid session before buying it. The daily office is the trial of Seraph, not of the paid library.
When each app wins
Echo Prayer — if you want a list, a group, and a reminder that you actually prayed
Start from their homepage or the US listing. Keep the requests. Share them. Follow a Feed. Use Android if that is your phone. Read Echo Plus and the listing side by side before you pay — the trial length and the yearly dollar amount are not the same sentence on both pages. Do not come here first for a full Bible, a daily office with no account, or a privacy vow that prayer never leaves the device. They are a prayer list with a community, and they say so.
Seraph — if you want a quiet office with no account, a full KJV, and a price you can read before you install
Ours, last on purpose. A flame, the KJV, two free guided sessions, reading plans, no sign-up. Paid for the remaining sessions and Sacred Seasons, free for the office. Small, new, iPhone-and-web only. If none of those sentences is what you came for, Echo is the better fit, and we would rather you found it here than felt sold to.
